DEAD PLANET, THE MOON, I SALUTE YOU @ DIXON PLACE (161A CHRYSTIE ST.) The last stop of Something Cloudy, Something Clear’s tour of NYC will shed the confines of the script in order to put forth an homage to the man himself, Tennessee Williams, just 8 days shy of his birthday! This will be a 30 minute showing that includes text from the script of Something Cloudy, Something Clear as well as poems written by Tennesee Williams about loves in his life ranging from Kip Kiernan, Frank Merlo, Hazel Kramer and his sister Rose Isabel. Think of it as a spoken word movement piece. 7:30PM, $15.

 
WESTGAY @ WESTWAY (75 CLARKSON ST.) Princess Nokia performs live, and we’re excited to see her again after hearing some of her moody new music at Shock Value a few weeks back. TOTAL REJECTS LIVE @ THIS N’ THAT (108 N 6TH ST.) #LOSEYOURSELF. Chris Tyler’s monthly TRL honors everyone’s favorite misogynist, the “real” Slim Shady. A full spectrum of performers including Amber Alert, Charlene, Rify Royalty, Mark Dommu, Jamie Wright and more will be gleefully exploiting, deconstructing and even possibly celebrating Eminem in the weirdest, queerest, most indulgent ways possible. SAVE GOODBYE BLUE MONDAY @ GOODBYE BLUE MONDAY (1087 BROADWAY) Bushwick institution Goodbye Blue Monday is in danger of being shut down unless they’re able to raise enough money and you can help! If you’ve ever enjoyed one of the many free performances they’ve put on over the years, you owe it to this well-loved venue to come out, pay up and help them keep their doors open. Thursday night’s comedy show will be followed Friday night by musical acts like Kung Fu Crimewave, Abby Rock and Space Meow. 8:00PM, $5 SUGGESTED.

DICTIONARY @ THE SPECTRUM (59 MONTROSE AVE.) A Monthly Reading/Performance/Film/whatever series brought to you by Stephen Boyer. This edition features iele paloumpis, Richard Kennedy, Nicholas Katzban, Mel Elberg, D’hana Perry and Lonesome Leash. 8PM, $3-$10 SLIDING SCALE, NO ONE TURNED AWAY.

 

LIQUID LOVE @ SECRET BROOKLYN LOFT This is the second installment of a deep dance party thrown by some of Brooklyn’s finest DJs who’ve been throwing underground Brooklyn loft parties since before it was a “thing.” The fabulous duo Jacky Sommer and Dat Kat (Analog Soul) join Native Racket for a celebration of the spring equinox that will no doubt send you spiraling into bloom. 10:00PM, $10.

BLACK MOUNTAIN FARM FUNDRAISER @ LITTLE SKIPS (941 WILLOUGHBY AVE.) This event is very close to our hearts. Black Mountain Farm is the new venture of Culture Whore founding members Liz Deleo and Will Simpson, who are leaving NYC for Maine this month. To help send them off and get their farm established, Little Skips will be hosting a going away/fundraising party complete with live music from Bushwick favorites SoftSpot and The Harmonica Lewinskies, as well as other curious performers. There will also be a raffle with prizes ranging from vintage clothing to a dinner for two at Roberta’s. We love Liz and Will and will miss them dearly, join us to send them off in style. 9:30PM, $10 SUGGESTED DONATION.

 
QUEERLATES @ THE SPECTRUM (59 MONTROSE AVE.) Pilates for Queer Bodies is an hour long beginner to intermediate Pilates mat class. They promise to work your ass over better than that dom top did last weekend! HUNKER DOWN @ CLEMENTE SOTO CULTURAL CENTER (107 SULFfOLK ST.) The fierce and captivating performer Monica Hunken presents a true story of fight, loss and love through a climate disaster sonata; from dog-sledding in the dead of winter in Greenland to the front-lines of New York City resistance against fracking and ultimately swept into the height of Hurricane Sandy. Will we sink or swim as the universe hurls its arrows at us, as the water reaches our doorsteps? And will there be time for love? 8:00PM, $20.
