GAYLETTER’s NYE 2014 Party Guide

Here's what you can and should do on the last night of of the year

We were very busy this year, lots of work, lots of traveling, lots of carrying, lots of partying and lots of handling things! — it was truly a great year for GAYLETTER, we even managed to publish our first GAYLETTER Book (our biannual publication). We seriously couldn’t have done it without your support, that’s why we thought the least we could do is give you our last treat for the year.

Since we all know you love procrastinating and have not made plans for the last evening of 2014, here’s our extensive list of what you can and should do this New Year’s Eve. Your lovely GAYLETTER family have gathered this list for you with lots of love. Happy 2015 bitches…

SHADE: 2084 NEW YEAR’S EVE
The shadiest bitch in town, Ladyfag, and her super sweet partner Seva (who are we kidding, he’s no stranger to the dark arts of Shade) are back with a New Year’s Eve extravaganza. It’s the last night of 2084 and it’s time for us all to celebrate the coming 2085 — that means wear white or your best futuristic looks and be prepared to dance. Held in an undisclosed space in Brooklyn this is our top pick for NYE. See you there!

NEW YEARS EVE AT GILDED AGE

This party is presented by the store Gilded Age and organized by three of the sweetest boys, Max Ryder, Paul Musial and Paul Iacono. It’s also the sweetest idea. Basically they are cleaning out this store space and going to throw a BYOB party and play music. As Max puts it “no cover, no rules, like a big house party…NYE is so expensive everywhere so we wanted a place people could go that’s free, has good vibes and no requires no ID” This sounds great, you can swing by with a few bottles, joints and friends and pre-party before you head out for the night.

FREE, 10:00PM, GILDED AGE, 224 FRONT ST. NY, NY.

BATHSALTS NYE: NO RULES, JUST RIGHT!!!
Here’s an NYE party that starts early, is cheap (only $5 bucks) and “features some of your favorite friends.” Who are these friends? Well there’s Macy Rodman, Severely Mane, Kimberly Clark, Avery Noyes, Brik Olson, Dirty LooksBradford Nordeen, Jack + Tristan, Lady Simon, Mary Jo Cameltoe, Wren Britton, Visuals by Yom TV & Derek Mega. Forget Molly this NYE, it’s all about the Bathsalts.
$5, 9:30PM-4:00AM, LEFTFIELD, 87 LUDLOW, NY, NY.

NEW YEARS EVE AT EASTERNBLOC

Sometimes the best way to celebrate the new year is at your favorite local bar — EasternBloc has been our favorite for a while now, it’s just so easy, so friendly, and it’s best when the sexy Darren (one of the owners, who’s also hosting the party) is there, he always makes sure we get drunk. For this NYE Frankie Sharp will be taking over this venue to make it a more special and an unforgettable night. He’s gonna be DJing along with Lol’ Kim, with midnight performances by Stephanie Stone and Chris Harder. Other hosts for the night are Marcus Isaacs, Lexi Thomas, Manicure Versace and Kimberly Labeija. We heard there will be naked people there and you are encourage to touch them. Yasssss!

$5, 10:00PM-4:00AM, EASTERNBLOC, 505 EAST 5TH ST. NY, NY.

NEW YEARS EVE 2015 AT HORSESHOE
This event is brought to you by Brandon Voss and Patrick Duffy at the amazing space The Diamond Horseshoe. Expect a live orchestra, theatrics by the cast of the Queen of The Night, art by Darrell Thorne and a special performance by Nomi Ruiz. Black tie is required — this shit sounds chic!
