The NYC-based drag performer and founder of the POC Collective. Thee Suburbia, reached out to us to tell us that she’s creating her first big cyber show on April 2nd. “It’s a 20 person cast of all Queer people of color performers and Djs.” It’s a Diana Ross birthday tribute show with an amazing lineup that includes Vinegar Strokes, Honey Davenport, B. Hawk Snipes (Pose), Saligia, Paris L’ommie, Mocha Lite, Mihelle Wynters, Anoma Lia, Brenda Dharling, Sasha Vanguard, Foxy Belle Afriq, Robert Garcia, Lendajo, Salem Night, Jypsy Jeyfree, Vena Cava, Rakia Dances, Curtis Bryant, Ella Fartzgerald, Tina Twirler, Miss Bussy, Olivia Lux, Black Berri, Jroyce Jata, Jae Neal, Vanda Miss Joakim and of course Suburbia herself. That’s a lot of queens! In my opinion, this is the one live performance this week that you don’t want to miss. Suburbia is one of the most innovative and interesting performers in NYC right now. I’ve been watching lots of drag performances online since COVID arrived to get us — I have to say it’s super inspiring to see these performers putting so much effort into entertaining us and staying true to their art. Please help them keep their art alive by watching the show and donating something. If you can’t go out to a bar, or to see a show you can tip a dollar or two. Hell, even if you gave them $10, it’s cheaper than a night out, and it’s a win win for all. Thank You!
$10 Suggested Donation, but give what you can. 7:00PM EST.
