Homoco x This is Amit x Tom of Finland

A capsule collection celebrating Tom of Finland’s 100th birthday

The Brooklyn-based brand Homoco created by queer designer Daniel DuGoff recently released their three-way collaboration between the brand, the artist Amit Greenberg ‘This Is Amit’ and the Tom of Finland Foundation in celebration of the Tom of Finland’s centennial birthday. When we heard about the trio, we heard HO MO CO! “HOMOCO is an inclusive queer brand that embraces the community through queer summer fun (rather than sex), works to build sustainable supply chains to make accessibly priced products in a wide range of sizes, collaborates with queer artists, and gives back to organizations championing queer rights.”

The 3-way collaboration consists of swim trunks, a swim brief (finally!), a Tencel camp shirt, sweatshirts, t-shirts, bandanas and a baseball cap. The baseball cap is embroidered with the telephone number (929)300-3269. If you dial it, it takes you to “Tom’s Full Service,” a recording of a 1984 Tom of Finland dirty talk tape. I just listened to one of the recordings and Cake’s voice (one of Tom’s fictional characters) was hot, but also humorous — it’s the type of voice that I do with my friends playing jokes pretending that we are way more masculine than we are, you know just woofing at each other…

A portion of all sales will go to SAGE, the country’s largest, and oldest, organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBT older adults. Another portion will go to the Tom of Finland Foundation.

If you are intrigued. Don’t hesitate, come on man, click here. The collection is also available to purchase at the Tom of Finland Store.

All looks modeled by Brooklyn-based dancer Montés Pirtle.
