LINDA SIMPSON’S PAGES BOOK LAUNCH
The legendary drag super star Linda Simpson and Peradam Press are hosting the launch of Linda’s new book ‘PAGES,’ it’s filled with personal photos all shot with “basic point-and-shoot cameras” of her “now deceased transgender friend” Page. She was “a captivating and outlandish cult figure in the Nineties NYC gender-bending nightlife scene.”
We got a copy of the book last week and we really enjoyed it, it’s always refreshing to see images of such original creative creatures. Page looked like she was worth a lot of money and worked many different looks flawlessly. This Wednesday, November 13th, at the also legendary gay bar, The Cock, Linda is hosting an homage to Page with a “slideshow and video installation, go-go dancing by the gender-bending troupe Chez Deep and special guests…” Music is by DJ Formika (another legendary queen). Autographed books by Linda will be sold for $20. As if I need to say it again…but it’s going to be LE-GEN-DA-RY.
