Wedding Bells at the Wythe
In collaboration with the Wythe Hotel, we’re hosting our first Wythe Ball this Pride, but the celebration doesn’t stop there for this Williamsburg institution. Showing their gratitude and support for the local LGBT community, founders Andrew Tarlow and Peter Lawrence have a full weekend of activities planned, from film screenings to tea parties and even a pop-up wedding chapel.
For three days, gay couples will be able to marry in a stained-glass house built by artist Tom Fruin, located on the rooftop. With cake, a champagne reception and photography included in the $1500 price, these hour-long ceremonies are the best deal to be found outside of City Hall. And with a stunning view of the Manhattan skyline, it promises to be a truly unforgettable experience. Even if you’re not ready for weddings bells, head up to the roof throughout the weekend to watch the ceremonies over a cocktail — The Ides bar will be open throughout!
We absolutely love this idea, and if it does well, the Wythe has plans to bring it back even bigger next year. So get down on your knee, pop the question and book your wedding — let’s show some support for a business that celebrates us.
