Party: HOLY MOUNTAIN

LadyFag is so fancy these days, travelling the globe with her bestie, Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci. According to Instagram, bitch even flew private to one of his events. But she hasn’t forgotten her roots which is why her Holy Mountain party is still going strong. This Saturday they have a pretty cunt line-up. There’s music by the wonderful Michael Magnan, Anthony Dicap, Lauren Flax and a few others. The list of hosts is exactly that, so I’ll just pull out a couple of our favs: Gage Of The Boone, La’fem Ladosha, Milk and Walter Pearce. Gypsy Sport are also taking over the Ruby Room. They just won a bunch of cash from the CFDA, so congrats. Although my condolences on that shoot Anna made you do in Vogue. Forcing you to put Kendall Jenner in your clothes was not kind, but on the bright side the looks were so sickening I barely noticed her! Apparently I’m in a bitchy mood today — isn’t it fun!

$5-$15, 11:00 PM, SLAKE, 251 W 30TH ST New York, NY.

Party: PERV II: Pervery

Usually when we hear about an upcoming party, unless we’ve been to it before, we like to dig deep into it and find out as much as we can. In the case of this party Pervery, I had no idea about it, so was glad to get a follow up email from host Ernie Cote with some more deets. He told me that we should include his party because “It’s a pants optional party.” That was all I need to know. Last week, some friends and I got twisted and were looking for a pants free party — you know I have fun, modern friends. Ernie added, “The last one turned into a sex party, mostly because we had a backroom, lol so sexy behavior is encouraged but we also had a dance floor, so it’s not solely a sex party…There is a coat/clothes check.” Cute, so for those of you that have some issues with being called a slut because you are going to a sex party this is a great cover up. You can say “I was dancing all night” Bitch please… We know you are a whore, embrace it, who cares anyways? William Francis and Ernie Cote will spin, they’ll play “house/nudisco/beats.” There’s “3-5 gogos that get naked...” Also, this one important detail: “it gets dirtier and dirtier as the night goes on and people get progressively more blowjobby.” Go and have fun, don’t let anyone slut shame you. It’s your body and you do what you want with it. Yassss whore!

Party: Metropolitan’s Lucky 13 Anniversary Bash

I guess it’s all about Metro this week in GAYLETTER. I’m OK with that. I haven’t been there in forever, so it deserves some love. Besides it’s their 13th anniversary. Congrats on staying sleazy and sexy for so long. I’ve spent many fun nights at your stinky bar. So here’s what’s happening. At 8:00pm “Horgy Thor & Alotta McGriddles will be starting off the night with Alotta Stuff!!! Live Auction where you can score some amazing clothing and accessories with most bids starting at $1.” Then at 11pm the Lucky 13 Anniversary Bash starts. Music is by DJ’s Frankie Sharp & Nita Aviance with performances by Thorgy Thor & Alotta Mcgriddles. The night is hosted by Untitled Queen, Charlene, Elizabeth James, & Lady Havokk. Also worth mentioning is that they are planning to transform the space for the night. Any bets that means they’ll hang some gold streamers from the walls and hand out glow sticks. I kid, I’m sure it’ll be fucking glorious, and the best night of your whole goddamn life!

Free, 10:00 PM, Metropolitan Bar, 559 Lorimer St. Brooklyn, NY.

Party: CAKES – UNOFFICIAL GLAMMYS AFTERPARTY

I probably should know what the Glammys are, but I don’t! Never heard of them. Turns out they are a both the Glamour Magazine Beauty Products Awards as well as The 17th Annual Glam Awards hosted by Bianca Del Rio (pictured), celebrating “the best of NYC Nightlife.” I’m assuming this event, which is the unofficial after-party for the awards, is tied to the latter. It’s all happening at Metropolitan Bar. “Spread sprinkles with us as we give shows and a special DJ set by Big Dipper!!!” There’s also a “Dance off Pants Off” contest with a first prize of $50 and 2nd prize of $20 bar tab. I guess the Glammys people aren’t interested in being featured in GAYLETTER as we’ve never received an invite to the event. Weird. Maybe Abi or I unknowingly pissed of one of the organizers (bad sexual encounter, we didn’t let them into one of our parties…) who knows. I love Bianca Del Rio so would show up for her, but honestly I’d rather save the $20 it costs for a ticket and just go to the after-party. That’s where the real action happens!

FREE, 10:00PM, Metropolitan Bar, 559 Lorimer St. Brooklyn, NY.

Event: Revolting Grace and Execution

We’ve heard from a couple of people that this party is bananas. We like parties that are bananas — they’re the ones people will be talking about when we’re old. This Friday is your chance to get bananas with the latest edition of Grace and Execution. This monthly party is dedicated “to showcasing Queer performance and dance based work.” The event provides “a platform for artists to examine queerness by exploring themes of gender, sexuality, androgyny, and the politics that surround them.” You can expect “performance/movement based work by: Olga Dobrowolska, Tyler Ashley, Elayna Lopez, Gage Of The Boone, Shawn Escarciga (MISS LADY SALAD) and Leah Marie Beltran.” Bring a good attitude and leave your privilege at home (I’ve always wanted to say that, lol), Have Fun!

GAYLETTER’S INTERRACIAL HALLOWEEN EDITION 2015 Pt.1

Party: PSYCHOPOMP CO-HOSTED BY GAYLETTER

Somewhere within the depths of Brooklyn, stands an edifice, dark and cold. A temple to a cause forgotten, brought back to life by gays who know. The health goths shriek to try and conjure. The spirit of All Hallow’s Eve. Through dance and booze they’ll render conscious. The psychopomp of eternity.” After you recover from our Interracial party on Friday night, dust yourself off, throw on that scary vampire slut outfit you were saving and head to Brooklyn for Psychopomp “A Halloween Club Night.” It’s taking place in a Masonic temple, and we’re co-hosting. It’s a very dramatic space, you are going to gag when you see it. Music for the evening is by Michael Magnan, Anthony DiCapua, Josh Sparber, Jonjo Jury (London), Amber Valentine. Visuals are by Cheryl, Fcknlz and Owl. This is probably the spookiest party you are going to find this Halloween. These boys don’t mess about with their visuals, or their parties. If you’re wondering who “these boys” are, I’ll clue you in. Psychopomp is being produced by the team behind the Cheryl parties. If you’ve been to any of those parties you’ll have some idea of what to expect this Saturday. It’s gonna be wild, visually spectacular, and filled with boys in some wild outfits. Don’t miss it queen. Boo!

$20, 9:00 PM, THE BROOKLYN MASONIC TEMPLE, 317 Clermont Ave. Brooklyn, NY..

Party: GAYLETTER’S INTERRACIAL No. 23 HALLOWEEN EDITION

I can’t believe it’s been so long! The last time we did this party was nearly a year (November 2014) ago. We are glad we found a great excuse to bring it back! We just launched our latest print issue of GAYLETTER and the boys kept asking us: “When is the next INTERRACIAL?” Here you have it! It’s our Halloween edition! For those of you that are not familiar with our party, we started this because we felt there was a lack of truly mixed parties, most gay parties are full of white boys and you know how boring that can be. Interracial is a celebration of ALL races. It’s the United Nation of gay parties. (We also think the word “interracial” has a nice ring to it.) This is the 23rd edition of Interracial. Tom is Djing for the first two hours (Anthony Dicapua is playing after that) and Abi is going to welcome guests at the door (we aren’t afraid of a little hard work). The two boys pictured are also gonna help us host (Alvin and Levi pictured), aren’t they just adorable? We have a couple surprises in store, but you’ll have to wait to see them. Get your looks together and get ready to be reset!

$5, 10:00 PM, Bedlam, 40 AVENUE C. New York, NY.

Party: STRAIGHT ACTING – ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY

When a party runs for a whole year in NYC it’s a big deal, it’s a similar dating the same guy for more than 3 months, it’s a big deal — it’s hard in this city, with all the sluts! I am so happy for Straight Acting for making it a full year, it’s a lot of fucking work, trust me. The reason our party only happens when we want to is because it’s a full time job to promote a party. I spoke to Rify Royalty who’s one of the organizes via F.B. chat. He reminded me what the party is all about, “it’s about sexual and gender expression. It’s also fem celebrating. A party where people can get creative with their looks, drink and dance to some of the best local DJ’s. The idea behind Straight Acting was to have different guest performers every month. So in the year it’s been running we’ve never repeated performers or DJ’s, a brand new cast every month, except this one.” For the anniversary party they had to bring some folks back, they must! Some of the performers and hosts are Charlene, Mark Dommu, Manifestany Squirtz, Bombazeen bean, Amber Alert, Chad LeClair, Molly Rhinestones and more. Also they said that the event is “powered” by Scruff, I wonder what that means? Hopefully they’re getting some nice coins! They’ve worked hard, they deserve them!

FREE, 11:00PM, This n’ That (TNT), 108 N 6th St. Brooklyn, NY.
