You can really look at Father’s Day in all kinds ways, for instance Mark Dommu (one of the organizers of this party) told me that the event is “a Father’s day party for Satan with performances by me, SeverelyMame (New York City’s favorite dead girl), Paul Leopold (pictured), Macy Rodman, Chris Tyler and Charlene...this satanic party will feature performances by some of Bushwick’s weirdest, wildest heathens.” Music is by DJ JX Cannon who’ll be playing “demonic beats.” I am telling you these people are serious with the Lucifer theme. I am just trying to figure out what’s the connection with Father’s Day? Here’s a personal story about Satan, when I was a kid growing up my mother used to tie up a piece of fabric whenever she couldn’t find something and say that she was “tying up Satan’s penis.” Soon after she’d always find whatever she’d lost. Happy Father’s Day! —Abi

Party: THOT CATALOG
Here’s a new party for those of you thirsty for a change of pace at Metropolitan Bar — the Williamsburg gay institution. Usually when we ask people to tell us about their new parties we hear all sorts of random concepts and ideas (this was no different). I chatted with Dave Dellamura (who’s hosting the party, along with the awesome queen Skim Burley) and he explained what it’s all about (well he got some help from his friend B.) “My friend, B, has the perfect description of a THOT: Remember that episode of the Anna Nicole Smith show where her dusty cousin from Texas comes to visit her for Christmas? She got super turnt up on brown liquor (because it’s the first time she’d had anything outside of Mikes Hard Lemonade), put on a Santa suit, knocked over the xmas tree, started a fist fight with Anna’s hair stylist and then tried to suck molest Anna’s lawyer, Howard, in the middle of the room while people were singing Xmas carols? THAT is a THOT.” Alright I get it, the party is going to be a hot mess. Music will be provided by Mark Holcomb, which is a good thing because the last time I saw him he was turnt. THOTS be like that... —Abi

Party: SHUGA Round 3
This is for anyone who wants something sweet and slutty — SHUGA the “sexy queer dirty dance” party is back. This event is presented by Eisley events and TrotterArt IND and you should expect to get down with “Divas, growlers, howlers and baby girls.” The queer fetish art dance party will serve you everything you need in a Friday night: “interactive art, world class drag performances, go go boy auction off, fashion, life, freedom and deep sexy beats.” Hosts for the night are David Monberg, David Sokolowsi (who’s also DJing), and Manefestany Squirtz (who is giving us a special performance). Other DJs include BE3R, lex Moe and Orange Krush/The Beat Kitty. The gogos (those sluts! I just love saying this word, lol) for the night are Rify Royalty, Lorenzo Ashkenazi and Vassos Voss. The advanced cheap tickets are sold out but head to the party and beg them for a discount at the door, sometimes it works. Keep it trashy, sweat that ass, get turnt, get some shuga... —Abi
Party: CLUMP – SCANDAL
The adorable Colin Self told us about her upcoming party, Clump: Scandal. For this edition the theme is Scandal, here Colin explains: “If there is one remedial form to deal with celeb drama and pointless viral Gawker articles, it is to gather together as a clump and take it as pure inspiration!” (I think I might need to read that a few times before I really get it). The event has transitioned from monthly to quarterly and Colin tells us to expect “performances, dancing, talking and scandalousness.” Some of the peeps involved are Joseph Russo, Trace Paterson, Andrea Crespo, Danny Russell, Blonde Camaro, TVB, Raul de Nieves, Gardencore, Alexis Penney, Bottoms, Avery Noyes, Bruno Coviello, Macy Rodman, Richard Kennedy, Severely Mame and many more. Part of the money from this event will go to The Radical Diva Grant. Nobody is expecting Olivia Pope type scandal at this event, more like “a fight in an elevator, a nip slip, celeb herpes scare...” you know, fun stuff. —Abi
With guest host GAYLETTER, curating artist Daniel Smith, and dancers Benn Mendoza at the Pavilion in Fire Island
Presented by Susanne Bartsch and Dreamhouse at Verboten
Party: Sauna Sundays in Fire Island
Abi and I spent last weekend at Fire Island, and let’s just say there was not a minute of boredom to be had. Gay people love bringing the drama along with their tacky Gucci weekend bags. Thank god the bars were open and serving booze. Getting out of the house and having a dance did everyone a world of good. This weekend we’re heading back for one night to guest host a party at the Pavilion Night Club. Since it’s a long weekend, we’re sure the island will be crawling with horny homosexuals. You’ll have to separate the talent from the trash (that’s a full-time job out there) but hey, we’ll be there, and you’ll be there, so what else do you need? The party is called Sauna Sundays and it’s a “wink to 70’s saunas —those sweaty, throbbing Meccas of foreplay, performance, music and art.” It’s organized by Kevin Graves, who’ll also be DJing the event. Daniel Smith is creating an art installation in the space and Benn Mendoza will be providing dance antics. It’s going to be the first weekend the Pavilion opens for the season, so it should be a real shit show...in the best possible way. Get sun burnt, get drunk, get your ass to the sauna. —tom
A new Brooklyn party by The Culture Whore at Friends and Lovers
In March, we attended the Kunst party at Verboten, a new amazing venue in Williamsburg. We had the time of our life. For the few hours we were there, it felt like we had left New York altogether and touched down in some wonderful, colorful, thumping party space in Austin, or LA, or anywhere they have space for giant warehouse clubs. Everyone seemed to be high and/or drunk as shit, dancing their asses off till the wee hours when the lights came up and it was back to reality and fights over cabs in the dark street. The same crew is back for the next edition of Kunst with Susanne Bartsch, of course, leading the charge. It’s going to be super special with one of our favorite artists, Ssion, performing live. DJs for the night include Amber Valentine, The Carry Nation, Juliana Huxtable, and Becca Mccharen (CHROMAT). If you’re in town, get your butt over to Verboten, if Markus at the door gives you grief, just tell him he looked cute in his New York Times profile (he has a good poker face, but trust me, flattery gets you everywhere with nightlife Kunsts). —tom
Presented by Trey LaTrash — with Schwarz, Mark Brown, G H O U L S, Lady Miaou, Taul Paul, Planet2, Cher Noble, Charlene, Molly Rhinestones, Pandy and more
Party: MISSTER presents – Cher & Cher alike
It’s pretty amazing that at 68 Cher is still doing her thing, she is probably one of the most modern women alive. She just performed in Brooklyn last week — I saw some photos, and she’s still looking fantastic. If you follow her on Twitter you know that she’s even great at social media. A couple of weeks ago her mother Georgia Pelham and her son Chaz Bono appeared on Rupaul’s Drag Race. Her mother, at 87, looked like her sister — we can see where she gets her longevity from. I guess I just realized I am a fan of Cher! This week at Brooklyn’s Misster party at The Woods they will be celebrating the birth of this legend. DJs Amber Valentine and Matty Beats x Horrorchata, will be “working in some Cher, naturally” into their sets. There will also be a performance by Horrorchata and Cher Noble, plus “diva moments, cute gay people, tacos, boozing and cruising...” and hopefully some Cher inspired dance floor performances. What else do you want for a Wednesday night? Do you believe in life after love, or at least drinking a lot during the week? —Abi
