This brand new night of “experimental music based performance” is brought to you by David Sokolowski and Wreck Room (which is the place where this party is happening). I was told that the name of this party, ‘Wired’ “is a play on it being about electronic music, and Wreck Room is kinda of known as a coke bar…” I see, I was also told that the Wreck Room “is like the dirtiest bar in Bushwick and everybody always gets really fucked up there.” I think this party has all the right ingredients for a very promising Wednesday night, because since the holiday season just started, it doesn’t matter if you are a mess the rest of the week. You only have a few days left in this year and why not go for it. Midnight shows by Louis Chavez, Boywolf, Mark Dommu, URiEL, DeeDee Rex and g1br33l. Music is by DJs Timothy Allen and David John Sokolowski. Boywolf told me that I should know that the party is featuring some of  “Brooklyn’s most interesting queer performance artists.” Got it. This party is a bit trashy, but hey, the press photo they sent us has at least 3 of my friends in it so I’m sure it’ll be trashy-good and we’ll be in good company. It’s the Monster’s 32nd anniversary, which in gay party years means it started about 100 years before Oscar Wilde was born. There’s a bunch of fun DJs performing on the night including: Bill Coleman (Peace Bisquit), Scotty Rox (PentHaus), Steve Travolta (Fresh Fruit), Scotty Thomson (Unity), Taul Paul (Le Bain), Jonjon Battles (Westgay) and Michael Magnan (Vandam). I’m going to be honest with you on what really sold me on this party, one word: margaritas. They claim they’re the “best, and strongest, in the city.” I’d sell my sister to a Kuwait sheik for a good, strong margarita…Also expect surprise performances, a photobooth, a bunch of hosts, free entry before 1:00AM with the password “1981” and me in the corner making out with my tasty marg.  —tom

The weekly dance party Misster, for those that aren’t aware, is a party “for people who like to dance.” This week they are “spotlighting the makers and actors of The 3 Bits web series.” One of the cast members is named Erin, she’s a very good actress. The police interrogated her because she posted a video on YouTube of her sniffing coke off a baby (it wasn’t real, but please, it’s not like the baby cares). At Misster this Wednesday night Erin, with her cast mates, will be promoting their Kickstarter campaign. They need all our coins to continue their hilarious series and are willing to do anything they can to convince you to hand over some cash...even double penetration! Speaking of sex, two of our favorite CockyBoys will be go-go-ing: Max and Levi. They are such sweet bottoms. DJs Mursi Layne and Amber Valentine will be playing music — expect performances, a raffle and an open bar from 10-11PM. They tell us it’s “gonna to be bananas.” I believe them.  —Abi

I love the Rusty Knot, that out of the way, weird little 50’s nautical bar on the west side highway. It’s the sort of place you have to venture to unless you’re one of the chosen few who live in the Meatpacking or West Village. That means that the crowd is naturally a little cuntier than most other places. On Sunday Le Tigre (and now MEN) band member JD Samson (pictured) throws a very afternoon/evening party called Scissor Sundays. They serve food and delicious cocktails and JD and guest DJs provide the backing music. Since the bar is on the West Side Highway you also get to witness a pretty fantastic sunset. This Sunday is you chance to attend to attend the party and participate in Visual AIDS’ Day With(out) Art. This initiative was launched “in 1989 to mourn those we have lost and to promote a broader awareness of the crisis.” Before the party join the Visual AIDS crew for a “walk through SoHo and the West Village — led by Alex Fialho. In a spirit of lively remembrance, writers, curators, and artists will read briefly at cultural stomping grounds, former residential addresses, and other haunts of AIDS involved artists/activists/public intellectuals along the way.” The walk will conclude at the Rusty Knot where you can share a drink with friends and lovers and thank god/Buddha/science/Oprah that you’re still alive. Sorry to get so deep, but sometimes we all need a healthy reminder.  —tom

I bet you ate too much Thanksgiving turkey...Sweat that turkey fat at this queer dance party, that has been going strong for a while now and with the list of upcoming DJs they have, it doesn’t seem they’ll stop anytime soon. This time around the guest DJ is Angel Boi (Miss Hot Rabbit/Miss LEZ 2013). It’s at the fabulous and legendary Monster bar where “a portion of the night’s proceeds will be donated to the Native American Rights Fund.” Expect the usual old school cruising, cheap drinks including their special $9 Frozen Margarita which they say it’s “the city’s strongest!,” I hope they make it with freshly squeeze juice and not with a mixer for that price. Expect “Sexy go-go magic” by RAD and Mercedes and the perfect excuse to continue your thanksgiving intoxication, #YOLO  —Abi

Earlier this month I received a small bright pink envelope in the mail from Europe containing the invite to this party. I was over the moon with excitement when I opened it and pulled out a postcard, because no one really sends party invitations in print format these days, which is sad right? We really need to step it up, we are in New York City after all. Here’s what the invite said: “BUTT Magazine & Secret Project Robot Present CLUB BUTT with The Men of the 2014 BUTT calendar.” My face made it in the 2014 calendar, albeit in a very tiny photo that you almost have to squint to see. I’m assuming they did this because I’m Latin, you know, it’s cheaper to print white boys since they have less pigment in their skin and consume less ink. Regardless, I’m glad they printed that photo, I mean, I used it on Facebook and on Instagram, so clearly I must love it. Anyways, back to the party. “Music is by DJ Ryan Smith of Wrecked in NYC & Aaron Clark of Honcho in Pittsburgh.” Plenty of friendly, and perhaps not so friendly men (some BUTT boys can be cunty) from the calendar will be in attendance, something for everybody...  —Abi
