Now this looks like fun...Crushfanzine, the New York and Paris based fashion/film/culture magazine, that picks one “obsession” to dedicate an issue to, is throwing a party to celebrate their latest crush. In the past they’ve obsessed over Charlotte Rampling, feet and male model Travis Lee Hanson. For this issue, it’s all about the women they love. On the cover is one of my crushes, Daryl Hannah. The launch is hosted by Kim Ann Foxman, Silvia Prada and Randal Jacobs. Expect music by Lauren Flax of Creep, Silvia Prada and Lloydsky of Night People. Abi and I attended the party they threw for the Travis Lee Hanson issue, it was filled with every up-and-coming male model in the Northern Hemisphere—I had a boner for 3 hours. All I have to say is thank God, Allah and Jebus we live in NYC, because honestly, if we were anywhere else we might have run out of parties to write-up somewhere around letter 14. Luckily these parties just keep popping up. Every day there’s another one. Presented by Hot Rabbit, at The Manderley Bar in the McKittrick Hotel, DANDY/ETTE offers an invitation to all you “dandies, dykes, pansies, and fops” to join in an evening of “debauchery and dandification.” (Love me some alliteration.) The McKittrick, for those that don’t know, is where Sleep No More is held. The Manderley Bar is where you first convene before they make you put on those silly masks and then wander off aimlessly (and alone) into the dark corridors and caverns of the hotel. It’s a time-warp of a bar that’s decorated to feel like a 20’s jazz club mixed with an 18th century smoking lounge. In other words it’s the perfect place to host a party for a bunch of debaucherous dandies.  —tom

There’s going to be lots of sex in NYC this weekend. Not only is the Black Party happening but also the escort awards—the Hookies (plus a couple other kink-themed parties you can look into yourself). If you can’t find sex this weekend, you’re just not trying. Anyhoos, it makes sense that this Friday at Eastern Bloc they’re hosting a party called Meat Swap with a whole bunch of people from the porn/whore industry, including the lovely Alessio Romero, Rogue Status, Drew Sumrok and many more. This is how Darren (the bar’s owner) is describing the crowd: “hairy bears, sexy cubs, hookers, and anyone horny.” Queen of LA attitude Chi Chi La Rue is Djing—bitch gets into it once she’s drunk. There’s going to be porn stars, porn giveaways...what else do you want? I recommend you masturbate, or have sex, before you head over—appearing too horny can look desperate.  —Abi

We know we’ve written up Ladyfag’s dark and dingy and extremely fun, late, late night party before, but we just had to mention it again, it really is the only option for this Friday. Firstly INTERRACIAL isn’t on, secondly Frankie Sharps’ party, FRIDAY is no longer happening after he got into some sort of brawl at Santos recently, he tells us: “Santo’s door security SUCKED. I just couldn’t continue working with poor and unprofessional people like them...” (oh boy, gotta love the drama), thirdly 11:11 is so close to our house and lastly because Miss Honey Dijon is on the decks. Lord knows we love some Honey D. Honey is a downtown legend—girl has some stories to tell (google her or read her story in Candy)—but she’s also one hell of a DJ, and one of our favorite to dance to. Michael Magnan and Will Automagic will be spinning later, Lady of course will be hosting, and we’re hoping this time she has her phone close by. Last time we tried to get in the bouncer refused us and Lady didn’t respond to our tweets until later. Granted it was 4:30am and we were with a couple of Mexicans rolling on MDMA, and like 10 other randoms we collected on our way there. Anyhoos, we’ll be punctual this week, we promise. Xoxo  —tom

We just found out about Red Light, a new monthly party—brought to you by the Daughters of Devotion and Marco Ovando—and from what I’ve read it sounds like it’s going to be full of sluts! Kindra Devotion (one of the organizers) told me “We wanted a name where the theme could change monthly but would always be kink based...Once we saw the space (The Gallery at LPR) we knew it was the perfect name because of the lighting and red throne. We also thought it would be an amazing mechanism to build pop-up boxes a-la Amsterdam’s Red Light district to house a permanent visual spectacle of go-gos, performers, DJs etc.” I love any excuse to make a party slutty. Music is by Resident DJ Colby B. and this week’s guest DJ Carlos Jadraque. Kelly Lee Dekay is their “resident Mistress...as in a dungeon mistress.” Kelly will show up every month with “human pets” who’ll interact with the crowd. I mean...  —Abi
