I almost forgot to do this post in the letter just like we did with issue 2 and of course 1. Yes, it’s time for a little self promotion, if I don’t do it, who’s gonna do it for me? As you already know our third issue of GAYLETTER Magazine is out right now! The people that already have it are gagging all over the world. WEB EXCLUSIVE: Dan on Beating Susan Sarandon

When we decided to feature Susan Sarandon in our third issue, we knew we had to do something special. After much editorial debate, we decided to ask a drag queen to paint her face. Dan Donigan (aka Milk) was our first choice, obvi. As you may know from RuPaul’s Drag Race, his style of makeup is always beautifully over the top. This queen is expensive, creative, anything but typical — just the way we like it.
We wanted him to go crazy on Susan’s face. No holding back — big eyes, big color, big hair, big and Milky! Susan was nervous. And rightly so — who the hell are we? And who the hell is this drag queen who wants to give her a glitter moustache? After a lot of back and forth, we settled on a look. In the end, it was exactly what we needed: sophisticated, smart, and a little subversive.
We asked Dan to write a few words about the transformation. If you want to read that then you should buy the issue (sorry for the tease) but we thought we’d share some of the images of Dan that we couldn’t fit in the magazine. Enjoy them below!

Event: GAYLETTER ISSUE 2 LAUNCH
Please keep this under wraps, but we’re throwing a small, very private launch party for the 2nd issue of GAYLETTER at the Wythe Hotel this Thursday. Everyone who worked on the magazine, and everyone who is featured in the magazine, will be in attendance — it’s gonna be a super cunt evening. As a thank you for being such dedicated readers of the letter we’d also like to extend an invitation to you. However space is tight so here’s how we’re going to do it: the first 15 people to RSVP by April 15th to rsvp@gayletter.com will be put on the list, we will send you a confirmation that you are on the list, so don’t just show up. The party is upstairs at The Ides, it’s a beautiful space with a stunning view of Manhattan. Peroni was nice enough to provide us with some beers for the evening (Peroni, we love you.) We’ve been working on it for the last few months and are beyond excited to finally share it with you, it’s even better than the last issue (crazy right?). It features some more of our favorite people including Casey Spooner, Jack Early, Richard Haines, Slava Mogutin, Brian Kenny, Mike Rinaldi, Hadar, Kris Knight, Billy Miller, James Bidgood, Jeremy Kost, Daniel Moss, some of the best up-and-coming musicians photographed by Cyle Suesz, our beautiful cover boy Louie, (pictured) plus so much more.
